Quitclaim Deed, to Joint Tenants

Quitclaim Deeds can be used to add or remove someone from the title to property, change ownership from joint tenants to tenants in common, or clear up problems with the title. This quitclaim deed is used when the transfer is to more than one person in joint tenancy. “Joint Tenancy" is ownership of real property between two or more parties named in one conveyance as joint tenants. Upon death of a joint tenant, his or her interest passes to the surviving joint tenant(s) by right of survivorship.
