The 2011 edition has more that just the new laws. In the front of the book you’ll find traffic violations listed in statute order, plus a quick reference guide to traffic penalties and points. And, it includes the current Common Codes as provided by the Colorado State Patrol.

Each book includes a searchable CD containing the entire text of the book. The CD also contains the approved model Jury Instructions for Vehicle and Traffic Offenses. These Word files can be used easily by judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and courtroom staff to cut and paste into final documents prepared for jury trials.

Important legislation this year: 

• An act requiring a lienholder on a motor vehicle to release a lien within 15 calendar days after a lien or mortgage on a motor vehicle is paid and satisfied.
• Children weighing more than 40 lbs. are no longer exempt from seat belt law when being transported in the rear seat of a vehicle not equipped at the time of manufacture with combination lap and shoulder belts.
• Use of a new taxicab license plate will be required for authorized taxicab services.
